Beginning Tumbling (Ages 5+)


Beginning Tumbling (Ages 5+)
Designed for athletes who are new to tumbling or ready to build strong foundations,
Beginning Tumbling focuses on body shapes, coordination, and safe skill progressions. Athletes learn how to move with control, build confidence upside down, and develop the strength and technique needed for future tumbling skills.



Skills they’ll work on:


  • Foundational Handstand & Shape Work
    • Bounce to handstand on red block
    • Handstand snap-down to straight jump
    • Handstand (feet touch) at a 75–90° angle

    • Angle jump to hollow back
  • Rolling & Rotation Skills
    • Forward roll (stand up, no hands)
    • Backward roll (land on feet)
    • Dive roll off end-over obstacle
  • Cartwheel & Round-Off Progressions
    • Cartwheel with strong finish
    • Round-off to C-shape onto stacked mats
    • Round-off flat back onto resi
  • Strength & Coordination Drills
    • Donkey kicks down the floor
  • Bridge & Limber Progressions
    • Arch back to bridge
    • Handstand fall to bridge
    • Elevated bridge kickover (using panel mats)

    • Front limber
  • Back Handspring Introduction
    • Back handspring with coach spot


Beginning Tumbling (5+) builds the essential strength, flexibility, and confidence athletes need to progress safely into more advanced tumbling—while keeping classes encouraging, structured, and fun.

Intermediate Tumbling (Ages 6+)


Intermediate Tumbling is designed for athletes who have mastered basic tumbling fundamentals and are ready to progress into more powerful and connected skills. This class focuses on increasing strength, speed, technique, and confidence while safely advancing tumbling difficulty.


Athletes work through structured progressions with appropriate matting, drills, and spotting as needed. This class is ideal for gymnasts, cheerleaders, and dancers looking to level up their tumbling skills.

  • Backward Tumbling
    • Handstand snap-down to back handspring
    • Round-off back handspring
    • Three back handsprings in a row

    • Standing back tuck into pit
  • Forward Tumbling
    • Front handspring
    • Front tuck and front pike
    • Front bounder
  • Advanced Basics & Power
    • Diving cartwheel
    • Front pike progressions


Intermediate Tumbling emphasizes strong technique, clean connections, and controlled power—preparing athletes for advanced tumbling and competitive progressions in a safe, supportive environment.

Advanced Tumbling


Advanced Tumbling is designed for athletes who have mastered intermediate tumbling skills and are ready for high-level power, flight, and connected passes. This class focuses on speed, technique, consistency, and confidence while training advanced tumbling on both floor and Tumbl Trak (TT).


Athletes work with structured drills, progressions, and spotting as needed to safely refine skills and connections required for competitive gymnastics, cheer, or advanced tumbling pathways.

    • Three back handsprings in a row
    • Front handspring to front tuck
    • Round-off back handspring back layout

    • Round-off back handspring back tuck
  •  Floor Tumbling
    • Standing back tuck
    • Front tuck step-out
    • Back handspring back tuck
  • Advanced Skills
    • Aerial (side or forward, as appropriate)


Advanced Tumbling emphasizes power, control, and clean connections, helping athletes perform advanced skills with confidence while preparing them for competitive routines and higher-level tumbling demands.
